on cornet at the remarkably early age of 41/2
years. Gained valuable early experience in brass bands in
Dunfermline, Fife before working with all the main local dance
bands.
Has
been ever-present in Tommy Sampson’s Orchestra and Fat
Sam’s Band for many years. Billy is an outstanding lead
trumpeter with a glorious sound as well as being a lyrical
soloist.
